Beach Walking in Gambia |
Beautiful long beachesThe Gambia has miles and miles of wonderful flat beaches. You can walk for hours and hours, take a break at beach bars, enjoy a cold beer or soft drink and swim in the warm water. Some hotels will tell you not to venture out to far along the beaches, the crime rate is extremely low and I would say go out but take care. Leave your expensive jewelry, rings and necklaces in your room safe. Carry the minimum amount of money, enough for drinks and snacks. You will be approached by lots of people on the beach. They will ask you to have a drink in there beach bar or try and sell you sunglasses, watches, paintings, jewelry, clothes, postcards, fruit, peanuts, cakes. They are only trying to make a living and a simple 'no thanks' normally sends them on there way. You could always hire a guide to go out with you, he will give you added security and point out wildlife. | Cape Point Beach
